The standard deviation (and other statistical indicators) of analysts' forecasts are located in the IBES summary file. They are shown at the company level for each date, IBES calculates these statistics (this date is named STAT Period or STATPERS in our datasets). For each company, there are several STATPERS during each year.
However, the country variable is not directly available. The country can be identified by the first 2 digits of the CUSIP variable. For the United Kingdom, the first 2 digits is 'EX'. To identify UK firms, write a SAS program, using the file ibes.statsum (located on the wrds server) and extract those observations where the first 2 digits are 'EX'. Another solution is to make use of the summary identification file(idsum). The item "COUNTRY" will indicate which country it is.
